Ferra was founded in 2000 by MG Ferreira. MG has a masters degree in applied mathematics and an honours degree in econometrics and held positions at the University of Pretoria, Eskom Pension Fund and SA Reserve Bank before starting Ferra.
Ferra specialises in heavy duty quantitative modelling and algorithmic trading but also concerns itself with more traditional time series and econometric models.
